About the Book

Computers have become a necessity in our lives. Everybody has one at home and many don’t have any idea how to use it properly.

The software evolves at very a rapid pace and is becoming more and more user friendly and more intuitive to use every day. These days the software is moving away from the local computer in a cloud in order to benefit from the advantages that “always on the latest versions” brings.

Unfortunately, this has as consequence that more and more cyber criminals are trying to exploit the inexperienced users that are using the computer and the online services available.

If the usage of the computer is most of the time straight forward, how to use it in a secure way is not so easy.

Usually, the users start thinking about security and privacy only after it is too late:

– they are affected by Malware

– they lost money or important confidential information

– they published things online which they didn’t want

This book hopes to bring a bit of light in to the topics Security and Privacy. Its goal is to allow everybody to understand where the dangers are and how to avoid them. Simple languages, real life examples, no abstract security expert talks.

All these and many more topics are in the free eBook "Improve your security" available here: www.improve-your-security.org.
